Limits on who can apply

Only candidates of high moral character and integrity shall be considered. Self-discipline and self-motivation are preferred qualities. While in college, the student must be full time and maintain at least a 2.5 grade point average. The students who live within the city of Powhattan and students who live within the original Powhattan School District, before it was consolidated with USD 415 and 430, should have priority over all other applicants.
