Privacy

Grantgrove is built to keep as little about you as possible. This is everything we keep.

When you search and read

You don’t need an account. Our pages load nothing from other companies: no analytics, no ads, no tracking pixels. Our fonts and photos are served from our own site.

The sign-in system sets two cookies when a page loads: a security code for its sign-in form, and this site’s address. They don’t identify you, and we keep no record of them.

Our server’s log

Our web server logs each request for 7 days, to fix problems: the page asked for and the time. The last part of your IP address is removed before anything is written, so the log doesn’t hold your full address. It doesn’t record your browser or the page you came from. It notes only whether a request came from an automated program, such as a search engine’s robot, so we can tell visits by people apart.

Each night we count how many times each page was read the day before. The counts say nothing about who read a page.

Reporting a listing

If you report a problem with a listing without signing in, we keep a scrambled code made from your IP address and the grant for 7 days, so the same report isn’t counted twice. We don’t keep the address itself. After 7 days the code is deleted.

For grants a funder lists with us directly, we count page views and clicks for that funder, with nothing about who viewed or clicked.

If you create an account

We keep your email address and name, your password in scrambled form if you don’t sign in with Google (Google gives us your name, email address and profile picture), and what you add: organization profiles, saved searches, tracked grants, reviews and alert settings.

A win you share is public on Community wins: the grant, and the amount, your words and your organization’s name if you added them. You can remove it from the grant’s Share your win page, and an admin can hide a post.

Payments go through Stripe. We never see your card number; we keep your plan and Stripe’s customer number. Alert emails are sent through Brevo, which receives your email address to deliver them.

You can delete your account yourself: choose Account in the menu, then Delete my account. Everything you added is deleted and a paid plan is cancelled at once. Reports and corrections you sent about listings stay, with no name attached. Stripe keeps its own records of past payments.
