Terms of service
Grantgrove is run by Rainbow Moose LLC. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use grantgrove.org. Last updated October 21, 2026.
Grant listings
Searching and reading listings is free and needs no account. Listings come from funders’ own websites and official grant lists, and we check them automatically, as described on How we check. Funders change their programs, dates and rules, and our checks can miss a change or read a page wrong. A listing is information, not an offer of money.
Before you apply, confirm the details with the funder. The funder alone decides who can apply and who gets money. We aren’t a funder, we don’t take part in any funder’s decisions, and we don’t promise that you’ll be eligible or win anything. Nothing on Grantgrove is legal, tax or financial advice.
Accounts
You need an account to save searches, track grants, set up alerts, write reviews or share a win. You must be at least 18 to make one. Use your own name and email address, keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
You can delete your account at any time: choose Account in the menu, then Delete my account. The privacy page says what we keep and what deleting removes.
Paid plans
Paid plans and their prices are on the pricing page, in US dollars. You pay in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, our payment processor. A plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from your dashboard: choose Manage subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for and doesn’t renew after that. We don’t refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.
Founding member prices stay the same for as long as your subscription stays active. If you cancel and subscribe again later, the prices on the pricing page at that time apply. For other prices, we’ll email you at least 30 days before a change applies to your plan, and you can cancel before it does.
A plan includes the features listed for it on the pricing page. We may improve or change features, but we won’t take a listed feature away from a paid plan during a period you’ve already paid for.
What you post
Reviews, shared wins, organization profiles, corrections, reports and provider listings are yours. By posting one, you let us store it, show it on Grantgrove and format it to fit the site, for as long as it’s posted. Wins, reviews and public organization profiles can be seen by anyone.
Only post things that are true and that you have the right to share. Don’t post:
- anything false or misleading, including a win you didn’t receive
- someone else’s personal information
- harassment, threats or hateful content
- advertising or spam
- anything that breaks the law or someone else’s rights
We can remove posts that break these terms and suspend accounts that keep doing it. Provider listings are reviewed by a person before they’re published, and you may list only programs your organization runs and is accepting applications for.
Using the site fairly
Don’t try to get into accounts or parts of the site that aren’t yours, interfere with how the site runs, or pretend to be someone else. Automated access is welcome, through our public API or otherwise, at a pace that doesn’t slow the site down for others.
The Grantgrove name, logo and design belong to Rainbow Moose LLC. Grant information belongs to the funders and official sources it comes from. Photos are used under the licenses listed on Photo credits.
Other websites and services
Listings link to funders’ websites, Grants.gov and state grant portals. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for them. Payments are handled by Stripe and sign-in with Google by Google, under their own terms.
Limits on our responsibility
We work to keep Grantgrove accurate and available, but we provide it as it is, without warranties of any kind, including that listings are complete, current or error-free, or that the site will always be up.
To the extent the law allows, Rainbow Moose LLC isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed deadline, a declined application or lost funding. Our total liability for any claim about Grantgrove is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if that is more. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
If you break these terms or the law in using Grantgrove and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to account holders, we’ll email them before it takes effect. If you keep using Grantgrove after that, the new terms apply.
You can stop using Grantgrove and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. The sections on what you post, limits on our responsibility and the law that applies still apply after an account is closed.
The law that applies, and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, and any dispute will be decided in the state or federal courts in Kansas, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Questions about these terms, billing or your account: email support@grantgrove.org. To report a problem with a listing, use the button on the grant’s page (how reporting works).
