How to apply, from its 2024 IRS return

How to ask

Complete the donation/sponsorship request form located on the website. Submit the request in writing to the foundation, include if applicable, the Sunmark CU branch and employee name where request originated, primary contact information (name, address, phone, email), name of any current Sunmark CU member(s) involved in the request/activity, purpose of the funds requested, dollar amount requested and information about any acknowledgement that will be provided.

Deadlines

Request must be received no later than 60 days prior to deadline.

Limits on who can apply

The organization must be a 501(c)3 and provide civic or charitable support to a community in Sunmark Credit Union's field of membership. The organization/event must be in one of the fourteen counties of Sunmark CU's field of membership - Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schonarie, Warren and Westchester. Sunmark Foundation does not fund sponsorship of individuals, school field trips, tours clubs or sports activities and
