How to apply, from its 2024 IRS return
- How to ask
- The foundation uses the Coordinating Council for Foundations common grant application form. To be considered for assistance, an organization should contact the foundation in writing. A copy of the application and requested document will be forwarded to applicants being considered. Applications must be received by the first day of April and September. Applications received are considered at the foundation's quarterly meetings held in March, June, September and November of each year.
- Deadlines
- April 1st and September 1st
- Limits on who can apply
- In order to use our financial resources prudently and to carry out the mission of the foundation established by donor, Donald P. Ahearn, we have concentrated our grantmaking on projects and needs within Hartford County. The foundation does not consider grants to individuals or to the "general fund" operating phases of established programs.
- Grants paid in 2024
- $66,655, to organizations
This is what the foundation told the IRS on Form 990-PF. It isn’t a confirmed open grant round, and details may have changed, so contact the foundation before applying. Its mailing address is on the full return: see it on ProPublica’s Nonprofit Explorer.
