How to ask

Applications are submitted online at wassmerfoundation.org. The online application asks applicants to provide: 1) high school transcript; 2) financial information (FAFSA or VASA student aid report and financial aid award letters from colleges); 3) recommendation; 4) employment, community service, extracurricular activities, awards and honors; 5) short essays; 6) video submission

Deadlines

Applications open on January 15th and are due by March 15th of each year.

Limits on who can apply

To be eligible for a Michael Wassmer Foundation scholarship, applicants must: 1) reside in the City of Richmond or any of the following counties: Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico; 2) be graduating from high school in the spring of 2025; 3) have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5; 4) have completed the FAFSA or VASA for the upcoming school year and have a student aid index of $25,000 or less; 5) intend to enroll full time in an accredited four-year U.S. college beginning in fall of 2025.…
