Governor's Response and Recovery Fund (GRRF)

About this grant

The Governor's Response and Recovery Fund (GRRF) provides flexible, grant-based financial support to help Tennessee communities, organizations, businesses, and landowners recover from disasters when traditional aid does not fully cover recovery costs. Grants can fund repair or replacement of damaged public infrastructure, restoration of nonprofit facilities, business property and operations recovery, and agricultural or forest-land recovery. GRRF is activated after a Governor's State of Emergency, at which point TEMA publishes event-specific application information.

Eligibility details

• Notes: Eligible entities include local governments, non-profit organizations, businesses, farmers, and forest landowners. Eligibility depends on disaster impact, documentation of damage or losses, and alignment with the fund's purpose. The fund may be available following a Governor's State of Emergency declared executive order or proclamation. GRRF grants are not intended for individual assistance (e.g., individual homeowners seeking personal relief).
