About this grant
The Utah Water Quality Project Assistance Program (WQPAP) provides financial assistance and state participation for projects that conserve, develop, treat, restore, and protect Utah's waters. It offers below-market interest rate loans, planning and design advances, and construction grants for 'hardship communities,' funding traditional wastewater treatment plants and sewers as well as non-traditional activities like agricultural runoff control, landfill closures, brownfield remediation, stream bank restoration, and wellhead protection.
Eligibility details
- Notes: Eligible applicants are Utah communities (local governments) proposing water quality projects that result in a water quality benefit. Eligible activities include wastewater treatment plants and sewers, agricultural runoff control, landfill closures, brownfield remediation, stream bank restoration, and wellhead protection. Hardship communities may qualify for construction grants; others may receive below-market loans.
