About this grant
The United Way Child Care Scholarship, powered by Women United, provides financial assistance for child care to parents pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree or participating in long-term workforce development training. Along with child care funding, the program connects families to resources and services to help them succeed in school, work, and parenting.
Eligibility details
- Notes: Applicants must be pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree for the first time or attending a workforce development training program (minimum 4 months); enrolled with an academic institution or workforce development program; taking at least 12 credit hours per semester (or 6 hours if working at least 19 hours per week); committed to maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.5; have demonstrated financial need; not enrolled in any other subsidized child care program; and be a U.S. citizen or legal resident and a resident of Bexar County, Texas.
