About this grant
The Leadership Advancement Award is a sabbatical funding program that allows executive directors to step fully away from day-to-day work responsibilities for two to three months. During the leader's absence, other staff maintain operations and work with board members and volunteers so the returning executive is not overwhelmed with tasks upon return.
Eligibility details
- Notes: Executive Directors (or equivalent such as President or CEO) with at least ten years of paid service to their current organization. The sabbatical must be two to three months. The organization must include Chemung County, NY in its service area (may reach a larger regional audience), have a current strategic plan in action, have a DEIB plan including board composition and operational goals, be a recipient of a Community Foundation grant within the prior five years, have staff in place able to assume duties during the absence, and continue to pay the executive full salary and benefits during the sabbatical.
