About this grant

The Greater Cincinnati Foundation partners with multiple private foundations to offer grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofits serving the Greater Cincinnati region. Each foundation has its own funding priorities, eligibility requirements, and application deadlines, with LOI deadlines ranging from February to December. Applicants must apply to each foundation separately through its dedicated page.

Eligibility details

  • Notes: Applicants must have IRS 501(c)(3) status. In most cases, organizations must be located in the Greater Cincinnati area: Hamilton, Butler, Clermont, and Warren counties in Ohio; Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties in Kentucky; and Dearborn County in Indiana. Foundations usually prefer to participate with other donors in support of a specific project. In most cases, an organization must wait 24 months after final payment of a grant or decline of an application before reapplying; there is no wait period for declined LOIs. Each private foundation has unique eligibility, funding priorities, and application processes.
