About this grant
The Greater Cincinnati Foundation connects nonprofits with a portfolio of private foundation partners that fund specific causes including visual impairment, education, performing arts, children's welfare, and services for youth with disabilities. Each partner foundation has its own eligibility, funding priorities, and application process, with most requiring an initial Letter of Inquiry (LOI). Basic eligibility requires 501(c)(3) status and, in most cases, location in the Greater Cincinnati region.
Eligibility details
- Notes: Applicants must have IRS determination as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. In most cases, organizations must be located in the Greater Cincinnati area: Hamilton, Butler, Clermont, and Warren counties in Ohio; Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties in Kentucky; and Dearborn County in Indiana. Foundations usually prefer to participate alongside other donors in support of a specific project. In most cases, an organization must wait 24 months after final payment of a grant or decline of an application before reapplying; there is no wait period for declined LOIs. Each private foundation partner has unique eligibility, funding priorities, and application processes.
