- Notes: Public schools or public school systems in the Omaha metropolitan area (Douglas, Sarpy, or Pottawattamie Counties) emphasizing history, natural sciences, and outdoor education; OR public 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations benefiting animals (wild or domesticated), with preference for equine therapy programs. Organization must be located in the Omaha metropolitan area. Private educational institutions and religiously-based institutions will not be considered. Grant dollars limited to programming and projects, not operating expenses.
