Additional Scholarships – Grand Rapids Community Foundation

About this grant

The Grand Rapids Community Foundation offers several unique scholarship programs that require separate applications from its general scholarship application. These include the Alan R. Ryan Scholarship for Catholic High School Education, the Gerald M. Crane Music Award Scholarship, and the Fred & Lena Meijer Scholarship for Meijer team members and their children. Each scholarship has specific eligibility criteria and deadlines, and applications are submitted through the foundation's scholarship portal.

Eligibility details

• Notes: Alan R. Ryan Scholarship: 8th grader at a school in Kent County entering 9th grade at Catholic Central, Sacred Heart Academy, or West Catholic High School; minimum B average; financial need; interest in attending Aquinas College. Gerald M. Crane Music Award: high school music student in Kent or Ottawa County; funds for music lessons, seminars, workshops, summer enrichment, concerts, instruments, books, vocal lessons, etc.; not for undergraduate tuition. Fred & Lena Meijer Scholarship: Meijer team member or child of a team member employed at least one year by the deadline; children must be full-time students, team members may be part-time.
