About this grant
The FM Area Foundation's Community Grant Round provides general operating grants to nonprofits serving Cass County, North Dakota, and Clay County, Minnesota. Grants range from $500 to $15,000 and support organizations working in five focus areas: Arts, Culture & Creativity; Basic Human Needs; Community Building; Education; and Women & Children.
Eligibility details
- Notes: Applicants must be an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit, church, tax-exempt school, or other government entity located in Cass County, ND, or Clay County, MN. Organizations must have been in existence for at least two years in good standing with the IRS and have a local presence (physical office, registered nonprofit status, or established home base) in Cass or Clay County. Fiscal sponsorships operating for two or more years are accepted with a fiscal sponsorship agreement. One application per calendar year per EIN; organizations must choose one focus area. Organizations currently fiscally sponsored by or receiving a loan from FM Area Foundation are not eligible for general operating grants. Event sponsorships, capital needs, and program/project proposals are not accepted through this grant round.
