About this grant
The Irene Butter Fund supports educational programming that keeps the lessons of the Holocaust alive and addresses modern-day challenges of 'othering' and disregard for human rights. Grants fund innovative, youth-focused projects such as exhibits, speaker series, interfaith youth ambassadors, conflict resolution dialogues, scholar residencies, educational materials, and field trips to the Zekelman Holocaust Center. Eligible target groups for programming include public school teachers and administrators, parent-teacher organizations, mental health professionals working with youth, congregational faith leaders, religious school teachers, and nonprofit community administrators/providers working with youth. Youth-driven projects aligned with the mission are prioritized. Proposals must be for new, one-time programs or new linkages/extensions, not existing programs.
