About this grant

The BRIC program is a federal hazard mitigation grant program administered in Tennessee by TEMA that funds projects to reduce risk from natural hazards and strengthen community resilience. Eligible activities include infrastructure protection, flood risk reduction, utility and critical facility protection, stormwater improvements, safe rooms, and building code adoption. FEMA is currently accepting applications for the FY2024 and FY2025 funding opportunities, making $1 billion available to state, local, tribal, and territorial governments.

Eligibility details

  • Notes: Eligible sub-applicants may include state agencies, local governments, and other eligible entities as allowed by the current federal funding opportunity. Individuals, businesses, and private nonprofit organizations cannot apply directly for BRIC funding; however, an eligible government entity may apply on their behalf when the proposed project meets program requirements.
