About this grant
The New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE), with support from the New Jersey Department of Labor, is offering $675,000 in grants to advance AI readiness across New Jersey higher education. Partnerships of two to five eligible institutions may apply for projects focused on one of three priority areas: AI faculty development, student AI literacy, or AI planning & governance. Awards range from $50,000 to $100,000 per partnership, with funds to be expended by December 31, 2027.
Eligibility details
- Notes: Open to New Jersey county colleges, four-year public institutions of higher education, and four-year independent institutions of higher education that receive state operating aid. Applicants must submit as partnerships of two to five institutions; cross-sector representation encouraged. Each partnership may submit only one application and select only one priority area; institutions may not apply under multiple partnerships. A lead institution must be designated for fund disbursement, and signed letters of commitment from partnering institutions' presidents or designees are required.
