About this grant
The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation provides up to $3,000 to support seminars and conferences that host a Beckman community member as an invited speaker. The program aims to expand access to scientific networking and collaboration opportunities, particularly for young scientists, by covering speaker travel and event hosting costs.
Eligibility details
- Notes: Applicant must be the meeting organizer and a current or past Beckman Foundation awardee (Beckman Scholars, Postdoctoral Fellowship, Young Investigator, Beckman-Argyros Award, or Instrument Grants), Executive Committee Member, or Beckman Institute member. Funds may only be requested for an invited speaker, not for oneself. The meeting must address advancements in scientific research or issues impacting science. Funding is for one speaker per meeting. Priority given to meetings targeting undergraduate students, open registration, and no registration fee.
